Endoscopic Cardiac Surgery

Our Center is also a pioneer in performing minimally invasive cardiac surgeries (endoscopic, thoracoscopic procedures). These operations, due to the small wound (incision between the ribs) and the non-separation of the sternum, are overall less painful and offer a faster recovery.

The interventions mainly concern the repair of the mitral or tricuspid valve as well as the closure of the interatrial communication. By November 2022, more than 40 such operations have already been performed, in less than a year, with complete success and a valve repair rate approaching 90%
