Pre-operative assessment
Next, you will be transferred to the ward where the ward nurses will take your medical history. You should be patient and ready to answer the same questions several times.
Despite our efforts to strictly adhere to the surgery schedule, sometimes there may be a delay.
In such a case, your doctor will give the corresponding instructions to the heads of the department where you are treated.
Preparation for Surgery
Before surgery you will be asked to wear a simple gown. If you have dentures, wear contact lenses and jewelry, you should remove them. Also, ladies who have painted nails, should remove the nail polish before surgery. You will be taken to the operating room either in your bed or in a wheelchair. A nurse will take you to the operating room.
Diet
A proper and healthy diet is an essential part of the patient's treatment and is necessary for the fast recovery after an operation or an illness. Our goal is to promote healthy eating and ensure that all patients receive a nutritious, balanced diet during their stay at Apollonion Hospital.
