Collection of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in syria and turkey

From the day after the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, the Bank of Cyprus, through SupportCY, contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stating its readiness to contribute to our country's support to the earthquake victims.

On Thursday, February 16th, the support is implemented with the delivery of humanitarian aid, which will be sent by air to Lebanon and from there it will be received by the Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East for the earthquake victims.

Apollonion Private Hospital, along with 10 other companies, all members of the SupportCY network, responded by strengthening this collective effort in various ways. We, as a Hospital, offered gauzes, bandages, First Aid Emergency Dressings, Emergency Blanket, blankets, medicines and baby milk powder.

The Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Bank of Cyprus, stated that "This is a collective effort which proves, once again, the power of cooperation. Organizations, businesses, the state apparatus and the volunteers worked together for today's result."

For his part, Citizens' Commissioner, Panagiotis Sentonas, warmly thanked the businesses and Support CY of Bank of Cyprus, for supporting the wider effort of our country, to send humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims.
