Bypass Surgeries
A very common condition, among the patients of our island, is coronary artery disease. To deal with this problem, bypass surgery is often necessary.
In bypass surgery, an endogenous vessel is transplanted to bypass the narrowed vessels that supply oxygen to the heart. Left and right mammary artery as well as vein grafts are used.
Very rarely the left coccygeal artery is used. For each patient, the appropriate method is chosen, which can be with or without the use of extracorporeal circulation.
The results of our Center are excellent.
