Mammography

Every other method is complementary. It is the basic and only imaging method that has been proven, based on studies, to reduce the number of deaths from breast cancer.

  • General Population: Annual mammogram from 40 years and older
  • Screening from the age of 25, if it is a BRCA-1-2 gene mutation carrier (breast cancer heredity)
  • Screening 10 years earlier than the age of breast cancer diagnosis in a 1st degree relative
