Provision of medical examinations to the volunteer corps
As part of the operation of SupportCY's Crisis & Disaster Response Center, the Volunteer Corps has been created, which consists of volunteers specialized and trained by the relevant government agencies, with the aim of supporting the government mechanism in cases of emergency or natural and man-made disasters.
From January 2022, the Rapid Disaster Response Unit was created which consists of Specially Trained Volunteers who are trained in Cyprus by the relevant government agencies and abroad. They own equipment/vehicles and are ready to respond to support government agencies in small, medium and large-scale incidents (fires, floods, extreme weather, natural disasters, search & rescue of missing persons).
Therefore, it is deemed necessary to carry out medical checks (issuance of a health certificate) for the members of the Rapid Disaster Response Unit, which currently numbers 25 people. Apollonion Private Hospital provided all 25 members with services such as chest x-ray and consultation, complete blood count tests, biochemical blood analyzes and fatigue tests.
