Cardiac Tumors

Cardiac tumors are tumors that form in the heart. They can be either benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous).

Some are harmless or easily treatable, but others can be fatal.

In general, an early diagnosis can lead to early treatment and better outcomes for people with heart tumors.

Heart tumors vary in size and shape. Some are pedunculate, meaning they grow on a stalk. Heart tumors can be less than 1 cm in diameter or up to 15 cm. Their size and location in the heart affect symptoms and the need for treatment.

Most heart tumors can be treated with minimally invasive methods.
